Parent activities at Ártúnsskóli
Since the merger of the Ártúnsskóli primary school and Kvarnaborg preschool in 2012, a united parent association has been active at the school. Parent associations are legally required under Article 9 of the Primary School Act. The principal is responsible for establishing the association and assisting as needed. The school's parent association defines its own rules of operation, including the election process for its board and the selection of representatives to the school council.
